Location: Central London

Salary: £58, 000 - £69,000 p/a (depending upon skills and experience)

Permanent Contract

Resident Doctors provide wider outreach support to the hospital as part of the emergency medical team. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently within their skill set to review and treat inpatients and formulate plans under guidance with the Consultant in Charge. 

You will be working at a clinic where they provide a range of complex care services for adults and Children, specialising in oncology, cardiology/cardiaothoracic surgery, major complex surgery and neurosurgery. From open heart surgery on new-born babies to pioneering techniques to treat cancer, our clinicians work together to provide the best possible care and treatments for our patients. The staff always go the extra mile in caring for our patients which can be demonstrated by their recent outstanding rating, awarded by the CQC.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • You will be supporting with all medical care and patient management, including conducting ward rounds, undertaking specific tests and procedures, clerking admissions, updating patient records, and taking part in ward audits, education and training.
  • To undertake certain medical procedures as required including venepuncture, setting up an intravenous infusion, inserting a urinary catheter, arterial blood sampling, ECG’s etc.
  • To assess patients at the request of nurses in charge/nurses and manage any emergencies which may arise with the guidance of the consultant in charge.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • MBBS medical qualification
  • GMC registration and current licence to practice
  • MRCP
  • Experience at CT/ST 1/2 level of managing patients with cancer disease and managing cancer-related emergencies by the time of commencement of ST3 training (We also require Haematology experience).
