Key Responsibilities for A&E Specialist Nurse:

As an A&E Specialist Nurse with MSI Recruitment, your role will encompass a diverse range of skills and responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Receiving patients from paramedics and seamlessly taking over their care.
  • Conducting thorough examinations to gather essential information about their conditions.
  • Administering intravenous and intramuscular injections with precision and care.
  • Performing Venflon insertion and catheterization procedures as required.
  • Expertly conducting suturing, gluing, and removing sutures with attention to detail.
  • Recording accurate ECG readings to assist in patient assessment and diagnosis.
  • Collecting blood samples and ensuring proper handling for analysis.
  • Monitoring blood levels and responding promptly to any abnormalities.
  • Effectively communicating with distressed or anxious patients and their relatives, providing reassurance and support.
  • Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Minimum Requirements for A&E Specialist Nurse:

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A minimum of 6 months' experience working in an A&E setting.
  • NMC registration.
  • A valid DBS certificate.
  • Willingness to undergo any additional training required by the trust.
  • Valid Right to Work documentation.
