Associate Specialist Psychiatrist - Acute Inpatient
Hours: Full Time (Part-Time Considered, 0.6 FTE)
Location: Warrington
Salary: Up to £90,000 p/annum + £8,400 car allowance
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Associate Specialist Psychiatrist to join a female acute inpatient ward. This role is ideal for those seeking a substantive position within a dynamic, innovative service.
This new service offers a unique chance to lead and innovate in service development. As part of a well-established team dedicated to providing exceptional care, you'll be contributing to one of the largest female-only psychiatric hospital sites in the country. The role includes a 1 in 7 first on-call commitment.
Support and Development:
You will be supported by five consultants within the service and eighteen across the region. The role offers access to a weekly CPD education programme and opportunities to attend external CPD events such as conferences. Additionally, you'll be supported in working towards Section 12 approval, AC approval, or CESR applications.
Key responsibilities for the Associate Specialist Psychiatrist Acute Inpatient role is:
- Provide high-quality, first-line medical care to inpatients.
- Effectively liaise with external professionals and carers.
- Prepare and present written and oral evidence for hospital managers' and tribunal hearings.
- Work towards ensuring safe patient discharges.
Minimum requirements for the Associate Specialist Psychiatrist Acute Inpatient
is:
- Full GMC registration
- Experience working in psychiatry within multidisciplinary teams
- To be in good standing for CPD with the Royal College of Psychiatrists
- To be linked in with an appraisal process within the last year
- At least 3 years' experience in psychiatry
- Experience working as a doctor within similar environment
