An exciting opportunity is available for a Palliative Care consultant to work across acute, community, and hospice settings. The Consultant Physician in Palliative Medicine will play a key role with the following responsibilities:
Post holders will participate in the 2nd on, out-of-hours rota.
Duties will be shared on a rotational basis across Community, Acute, and Hospice settings.
Non-resident on-call frequency is 1 in 5.
Minimum requirements for the Consultant Physician in Palliative Medicine include:
Medical degree and relevant postgraduate qualification.
GMC specialist registration in Palliative Care or Elderly care medicine is mandatory.
Significant NHS experience in Palliative Care or Elderly Care medicine.
Ideally full time, with support for flexible working and consideration for LTFT (Less Than Full Time) posts.
The position, based on the south coast of England, will involve joining five existing Community/Hospice/Hospital senior doctors and nurse consultants to provide consultant clinical input and leadership to the comprehensive multi-professional specialist palliative care services across these settings.
