Roles and Responsibilities:
As a Senior Staff Nurse in the Paediatric Neurorehabilitation and Complex Care Inpatient Ward, you will:
- Play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the department.
- Serve as an expert in your field, providing support and mentorship to junior nurses.
- Utilize your extensive clinical knowledge to guide and support the team.
- Lead the unit in the absence of the Sister/Charge Nurse.
Requirements:
- NMC Child Registered Nurse (RN Child / RSCN) with immediate paediatric life support certification.
- Experience in paediatric neurorehabilitation and managing complex care needs.
- Experience with tracheostomised patients (desirable).
- Understanding of safeguarding issues.
- Teaching and mentoring experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong clinical governance skills and experience with audits.
- Experience in supervising and assessing students and leading shifts (desirable).
