Requirements

• Undertake mental health assessments, care planning, and risk assessments

• Deliver therapeutic interventions and crisis management support

• Manage patients with complex and enduring mental health conditions

• Work closely with prison staff, GPs, psychologists, and wider MDT

• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and records

• Promote safeguarding, risk management, and patient wellbeing

• Ensure compliance with prison security procedures and healthcare standards

• Contribute to service improvement and continuity of care

As a Prison RMN, you will provide comprehensive mental health nursing care to individuals within a prison setting. You will manage a caseload of patients with varying mental health needs, contribute to risk management, and support rehabilitation through evidence-based interventions.
