Requirements
Undertake mental health assessments, care planning, and risk assessments
Deliver therapeutic interventions and crisis management support
Manage patients with complex and enduring mental health conditions
Work closely with prison staff, GPs, psychologists, and wider MDT
Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and records
Promote safeguarding, risk management, and patient wellbeing
Ensure compliance with prison security procedures and healthcare standards
Contribute to service improvement and continuity of care
Key Responsibilities
This role requires strong clinical expertise, resilience, and the ability to work effectively within a secure and highly regulated environment.
As a Prison RMN, you will provide comprehensive mental health nursing care to individuals within a prison setting. You will manage a caseload of patients with varying mental health needs, contribute to risk management, and support rehabilitation through evidence-based interventions.
