MSI Recruitment is seeking an experienced, full-time Band 7 Single Point of Access Nurse, with shifts available from Monday to Sunday.

The primary responsibility of the Single Point of Access is to evaluate children and young people referred to our client, determining the most suitable service to meet their needs. The role demands significant clinical and organisational skills, aligning with the 'No Wrong Front Door' initiative and supporting the Access Team in identifying the right service for young individuals at the right time.

As the SPA Clinician, you will coordinate the intake of referrals, conduct telephone triages, perform face-to-face assessments, and deliver brief interventions for children aged 0-18 years and their families. Additionally, access clinicians will contribute to managing waiting lists and the duty call rota.

The SPA Clinician will collaborate with front-line administrators and senior colleagues to identify presenting needs, manage risks, and provide support to young people and parents during the waiting period for therapy. This involves liaising with various stakeholders and addressing issues that may arise during the treatment wait. The post-holder will play a crucial role in coordinating the screening/triage system designed to identify treatment needs and assess risk, as well as conducting clinical assessments and some brief interventions. Senior colleagues will offer substantial support in risk assessment and management.
