There is an opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to work in their 101 bedded mental hospital located close to Darlington, County Durham where they provide individualised treatment and care for people with complex mental health needs of adult working age, in a safe and supportive environment.
They are a hospital in the independent sector, however all patients are NHS patients and they work closely with NHS Trusts nationally to provide comprehensive and holistic integrated services to ensure recovery, re-engagement, and safe discharge. They focus on family values, treating each other with respect, valuing contributions and team effort at improving patient experience.
Our client is seeking a Full Time Consultant Psychiatrist who will work alongside a dedicated Advanced Practitioner to care for 10 Male Patients on an ultra-modern, Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit

Requirements:
- Previous Consultant experience is desirable, but not essential
- You will fulfil the role of Responsible Clinician to patients.
- Must hold a CCST/CCT or equivalent in the relevant areas of psychiatry and have experience of working in in-patient settings with people with complex mental health difficulties.
- Valid GMC Registration.
- Evidence of involvement in Continuous Professional Development.
- A positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement and quality.
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Participate in a 1 in 7 second on-call rota and provide senior support, to the first on-call, usually an Advanced Practitioner/Speciality Doctor.
