A unique opportunity for ongoing practice in a diverse spectrum of dermatological conditions. This includes overseeing clinics dedicated to managing Systemic Diseases, Routine and Cancerous Lesions, Paediatric cases, and Skin Surgery.
In addition to these clinical responsibilities, the role entails handling inpatient referrals and conducting thorough reviews. You will also be instrumental in providing essential guidance and expertise to primary care providers, as well as participating in administrative virtual clinics. This role offers a comprehensive and dynamic dermatology experience, allowing you to contribute significantly to patient care and furthering your expertise in the field.
Key role and responsibilities-
Multidisciplinary team working is key component of the working within the Trust and involves regular MDT discussions with colleagues
- Providing evidence-based care for patients in a multidisciplinary setting.
- Continuing responsibility for the care of patients in your charge, including all administrative duties associated with patient care
- Development of sub-specialty interests that fit in with departmental needs and the strategic direction of the Trust.
Minimum requirements-
- Fully registered with the GMC
- CCT (or equivalent for non-UK applicants of equivalent status), or be accredited (or equivalent), and be on the GMC Specialist Register in Dermatology at the time of taking up the consultant appointment. Alternatively, candidates can be within 6 months of their CCT at interview.
- MRCP (UK) or equivalent.

Within the department, they manage a comprehensive range of Dermatology conditions. This includes specialised clinics for general skin conditions, systemic diseases such as psoriasis, pigmented lesion assessments, expedited cancer evaluation clinics, and paediatric dermatology services.
