We are currently looking for RGN's with Orthopaedic experience to join a team within a hospital that has a worldwide reputation for innovation and research who can give quality care to patients locally, regionally and nationally.
The hospital treats disorders of the bones joints and muscles. Surgical areas comprise of hip and knee replacement, foot ankle and lower limb surgery, hand shoulder and upper limb surgery,spinal disorders, bone tumour and sports injury surgery. Additionally they treat people with metabolic disorders including osteoporosis and inflammatory arthritis.
While no two days are the same duties may include-
- Assisting patients with their mobility whilst also educating them on how to protect themselves pre and post operatively
- Preparing patient for surgery
- Pain Monitoring and the administering of pain medication
- Collecting samples - urine/tissue and bloods.
- Assist with applying wound dressings
- Checking vital signs
Minimum requirements of this role-
- NMC registered
- Have at least 6 months experience
- Valid DBS
- Valid right to work
- Willing to undertake any additional training required by the trust
