Our client is seeking a full time Consultant Psychiatrist to work on an acute mixed ward within a stable and established MDT which includes OT, psychology and experienced RMN's. The hospital offers a range of treatments and interventions including promoting least restrictive practice and patient collaboration in decision making. The service works closely with their other Healthcare services within the North Region enabling and developing supportive care pathway. They invest heavily in training, provide first-class support, promote collaborative teamwork and give everyone on our team the opportunities and resources to achieve their full potential.
The Nottinghamshire hospital provides acute adult mental health services, delivered in partnership with Nottinghamshire Healthcare Trust, at their purpose-built facility in Arnold. After over 3 years of providing acute adult mental health services on behalf of Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust they have just opened their brand new 10 bed PICU service in May this year, and have just opened a second PICU service on their remaining ward.
The successful candidate will be joining an expanding and clinically diverse North Region. There is strong governance structure within the Region and the successful applicant will be expected to take an active role in service and quality development activities and to participate in governance meetings and Service Line meetings, as necessary.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Full GMC Registration
- Recent experience in an Acute setting
- Experience in a similar setting
- MRCPsych or equivalent
